This policy explains what HANGPOP collects when you use the app and website. HANGPOP is operated by [MAR TO CONFIRM: legal entity name and registered address].
Who can use HANGPOP
You must be at least 16 to use HANGPOP. The planned Nearby hangs feature will be limited to people 18 and over. [MAR TO CONFIRM: age verification approach]
What we collect
- Account: your email address, used to sign in. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, Supabase.
- Profile: the details you add to your profile, such as your name, @handle and photo. [MAR TO CONFIRM: exact profile fields]
- Friends: your friend connections and requests.
- Rooms content: the chat messages, photos and voice notes you send in Rooms. Rooms auto-expire. [MAR TO CONFIRM: expiry timing and deletion of expired content]
- Reports: when you report someone or something, we keep a copy of the reported content for moderation for 90 days.
- Coarse location (future): a coarse area for a future Nearby hangs feature. This feature is not built yet; we will ask before using it. [MAR TO CONFIRM: collection, precision and opt-in details]
- GIF search: GIF search and trending are provided by GIPHY. Your search terms are sent to GIPHY. [MAR TO CONFIRM: what is shared with GIPHY]

How we use it
